How To Be Alone by Tanya Davis. This is beautiful.
This evening I paid a visit to Mary and we spoke being alone, the relationships kids have with their parents and grandparents, and traveling. She’s excited to see me going to Scotland, and I’ve only just begun to worry about it. Now that the stress of the fall semester is dying down my mind can wander into the concerns of what might go wrong in my semester abroad. However, I know this: I like spending time alone, I like exploring, I want to learn, I want to create, and I want to leave. Nothing is going to be wrong in Edinburgh, and this video reminds me of how good it feels to be on your own.
took the words out of my mouth.. kinda
